Seeking Community Volunteers

Our thanks go out to Darleen who has helped with maintaining the clubhouse for many years! She has decided to retire in Jan 2018, so we need your help. One of the things we are looking for is a volunteer to push the clubhouse garbage barrels out to the curb each Thursday evening, and bring them back to the clubhouse on Friday after they have been emptied. If you are willing to help the community, please contact Cityscape Property Management.

Help Maintain Our Fruit Trees

There are many fruit trees around the community which is wonderful, but when the fruit falls on the ground and rots, it becomes a big problem. Fruit on the ground can make a mess on sidewalks or become food for rats and other rodents. The landscapers are not here every day so we are requesting that everyone who enjoys the wonderful fruit trees help pick the fruit before it drops, and throw it away if it does drop.

Annual Membership Meeting Results

[Apologies; this post was originally submitted to the wrong area of the website by accident.]

This year’s Annual meeting was a success! Thank you for successfully submitting your votes which enabled us to reach quorum. Our thanks also go out to the many owners that came to meeting and participated in the open discussions.

The meeting results follow:

The IRS Revenue Ruling 70-604 passed by a majority.

Congratulations to the following members who were elected to serve a two (2) year term on the Board of Directors:

  • Barbara Smith
  • Mary Toomey
  • T.Satyanarayana Satya

Congratulations to the winners of the door prizes!

As a reminder, Board Meetings are normally held on the 3rd Thursday of the month, and the agenda is posted in the clubhouse window at least 4 days prior to the meeting. We hope to see you there.

Many Clubhouse Upgrades Complete, and More to Come

If you haven’t been to the clubhouse lately, you need to stop by and see how the work is progressing. The new paint color scheme designed to complement the newly installed flooring materials are in place and give the clubhouse a fresh look and feel. New tables and chairs are being ordered along with some decorations and art for the walls.  The exercise room now sports a weight machine and a new stationary bike. We hope you like it!

Wood Trim and Door Painting

The wood repairs and repainting of the complex is almost finished. Before the Board considers the project complete we want to give everyone the opportunity to check around their unit for wood repairs or painting that was missed.

Please check around your unit and contact Cityscape with any concerns by August 31st.

Also make sure to schedule time with the painters to have the edges of your front door painted as soon as possible. (If the painters have not contacted you about this directly, please let us know.)

(Note: the stucco is not being repainted at this time.)

Pathway Lighting

Update: small solar pathway lights have been placed in the darker areas of the paths.

Some of the pathway lighting is out around the grounds. Electricians are working to diagnose and repair the issue. While that work is ongoing, temporary lighting has been ordered and should be installed very soon.

Letter to City Council

A signed copy of the following letter was sent to the Sunnyvale City Council prior to the Planning Commission Hearing on Monday, June 26 regarding the proposed apartment building at 1008 E. El Camino Real / 1314-1320 Poplar Ave.

While the Board did not want to take an official position on the development, we wanted to voice concerns about the general impact to our community.
