Reminder: Any exterior modification requires approval
Before making any changes to the structure, plumbing, or exterior of your home please remember to submit an Architectural Change Request Form.
This could be adding exterior lights, screen doors, or paving your patio.
Most changes are quickly approved at the next monthly meeting. The Board simply wants to ensure that the work will maintain community standards, not negatively impact neighbors, and be performed by a qualified professional.
Termite Reminder
As we are now in the rainy season, you may find flying termites in or around your home. The good news is that the HOA will pay for most termite control! We only ask that you first get a professional inspection, which most pest control companies will do for free. Three options are:
Bay Area Termite: bayareatermite.com / (408) 337-1694
Planet Orange: planetorange.com / (888) 979-6897
Terminix: terminix.com / (877) 837-6464
Once you have a report with a quote to perform the treatment please send it to help@caminodelprado.org for review. (Please do not schedule any treatment before your report has been reviewed.)
If you do find termites or other pests, the Board encourages you to let your neighbors know as well. It is best for them to get inspected too.
Special Assessment Due February 1st
The due date for paying the roof special assessment is February 1st, 2022. The amount is $6,600.
There are two ways to handle the payment:
- Electronically by bank/card transfer via our HOA accounting firm “HOA Accounting Services”. You will need to setup your account (if not done so yet) and request your account number and registration key. See setup instruction details at https://hoa-accounting.com/members/
- By check made payable to “Camino Del Prado HOA”. Annotate the check with purpose of payment and your unit address. For example, “Roof special assessment for 1005-T Bryant way”. Send the check to the following address:
Camino Del Prado HOA c/o HOA Accounting Services 3100 Clayton Road Concord, CA 94519

Asbestos Warning
Please note that individual Units may contain asbestos in the walls, ceiling texture, AC registers, etc. Before a member starts any work on the ceiling or walls, etc., it is best to have a laboratory test for the material. One possible testing company is Benchmark Environmental Services (408) 448-7594.
Please remember that you must fill out an Architectural Change Request Form and have it approved before making any changes to the HOA-maintained portion of your Unit (e.g. structural walls, pipes, etc).
